As a UPS CDL Apprentice Driver, you progress through a structured earn-while-you-learn tractor-trailer training curriculum — combining classroom safety instruction, driving range practice, and supervised road hours — while maintaining your current UPS employment status and paycheck throughout every phase of the program.

  • Classroom & Range Training: Complete UPS-led classroom sessions covering DOT regulations, pre-trip inspection procedures, and safe driving theory, then advance to a driving range where you practice tractor-trailer coupling, backing, and maneuvering under the supervision of a certified UPS trainer.
